NOSARA, GUANACASTE, COSTA RICA
Located 257 kilometers (160 miles) from the capital San Jose, on the North Pacific coast. To get there, you must pass through Nicoya, and take the route to Samara. L'ACQUA VIVA has the best beaches in the north of Costa Rica: 800 meters from Playa Pelada, 1.2 kilometers from Playa Guiones and 5 minutes by car from Playa Nosara. Nosara is a thriving community, belonging to the canton of Nicoya, in the province of Guanacaste and thanks to the beautiful beaches in the area, it has managed to stand out as a world destination for surfing, yoga and health. At the same time, thanks to the extraordinary mountains that surrounds it, it has become an ideal point for adventure activities.
The L’Acqua Viva Resort & Spa locates itself in Playa Guiones, Nosara, Costa Rica. The hotel used to be a 4-star hotel by international standards and according to the Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT). The hotel had a 3-Leaf certification by the Costa Rica Sustainable Tourism program. The hotel positioned itself as a community of nature lovers offering an enchanting setting with a striking combination of beach and mountains,.
On Playa Guiones, tourism development is governed by a legal provision that prevents buildings within 250 meters from the beach. That is why you will not find any hotel on or near the beach in this zone. In addition, the area includes the protected Nosara Biological Reserve, part of a sustainability effort that characterizes this community, which extends to connect with the Ostional National Wildlife Refuge.
For this reason, L'Acqua Viva Resort & Spa, a tourism complex of 35 rooms, is located between the beach and the mountains, 1.2 km from Playa Guiones using the nearest access road. One of the features of this area is that almost all roads lead to the beach.
Playa Pelada is only 800 meters from the hotel, easily reachable for watching a marvellous sunset. Playa Nosara is five minutes away by car. A little further, yet still very close, are Playa Garza and Playa Ostional.
The resort offered you spectacular views of our extensive gardens and our architecturally-pleasing structures. You can enjoy exotic plants and flowers, as well as observe beautiful birds, and occasionally even some other animals that live in the protected area around the hotel. All of this is just a few minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches of the north Pacific of Costa Rica.
The hotel is surrounded by an impressive tropical forest that belongs to the Nosara Civic Association; and it only takes 15 minutes to reach the Ostional National Wildlife Refuge, which is one of the few privileged areas in Costa Rica where sea turtles lay their eggs. Turtles are found in Ostional year-round, but nesting periods are most common from July to December. This is an unforgettable experience for those who like nature.
The 16 Standard rooms available at L’Acqua Viva Resort & Spa are grouped in a three-level building at one end of the complex, which is located opposite the road linking Nosara with Nicoya. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absence of noise from the street.
The rooms are very spacious, and almost all of them have a view toward our wonderful internal gardens. Five of these rooms are equipped with two queen beds, and the other 11 with a king bed in each. In both cases, the occupancy is set for two persons, although the room with two queen beds may accommodate up to two additional persons. Three Standard rooms are designed to be accessible to persons who use wheelchairs, walkers or crutches, in compliance with the rules and regulations of Costa Rica. One of these accessible rooms is equipped with two queen size beds. Two of the rooms are on the first level, while the third is on the building’s second level.
