This Caribbean Hotel  is steeped in the early history of tourism at Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge. It was here that over twenty two years ago the owners,   a young couple full of dreams, arrived after three days of searching for a magical spot in the Caribbean, traveling by motorcycle and on foot, and pitched their tents in the falling light. They awoke in an illuminated tropical forest of breathtaking beauty. Unique, peaceful and remote, this wild untrammeled wilderness is still the defining experience at this hotel.

The interior conjures Caribbean indulgence with a safari’s twist. The experience tells a story of a bygone era and furnishing an environment of soft adventure, the owner designed the interior combining Caribbean colors and specially created environments to discover the secrets of the jungle or enjoy a Canopy adventure. There is something different and interesting to experience at round every corner. this Caribbean Hotel  is a photographers’ delight, both inside the surrounds of the Pavilion Suites and out in the golden beach or under the high canopies of the trees.

The Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge area, where this Hotel  is situated, has a large wildlife resource with a wide variety of species, but it is most noted for its very large howling monkey population, which can be heard or seen from your bed early in the morning, along with Blue Morpho butterflies and a myriad of colorful birds.

This is a unique out doors Hotel because , offers three in one unique destinations, because it is part an exclusive Caribbean beach resort, part a safari camp and part an eco-conscious boutique hotel., while combining the opportunity to experience two different cultures, the Bri- Bri’s ancient native culture, and the Afro Costarrican culture, giving life to nearby Manzanillo picturesque fishing village.

This Hotel is the most exclusive Sustainable open hotel and destination for the Central American Caribbean, and located in the mist of  exotic Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife rainforest and is located in front of one of the most beautiful beaches of Costa Rica at the Southern Caribbean coast.. The restaurant has a  Caribbean local cuisine and an assorted international menu.

This out doors hotel is a complete turn key operation and is embraced by the rainforest and has open tent 24 suites in the jungle, restaurant and bar, kitchen, front desk area and conference centre. The hotel has a ICT contract, liqor license,  5 leaves under the CST program.

The final product resulted in a hotel that occupies, 17% of the total area, less than the allowed 40% for construction that the government grants, built with environmentally safe materials, and using the local architectural style of the Afro-Caribbean. All of the buildings at this hotel are lifted on stilts The whole structure of the hotel is built with treated pine wood and some hard wood that was legally purchased in the surrounding areas outside of the refuge. The style of each bungalow is built so that there is a maximization of the ventilation, isolation from the heat, protection from the humid climate, and enhancement of the natural elements of the rainforest such as view, sounds, and breeze. Many interesting and nature tours available.

Permission to use the  Maritine Zone  was given in 1993 with no time limitation.  The permission for building was for 5,305 m2 which could be increased under the National Park Plan.
